Please simple walk through for beginner COM devs
Hi there sir,
Your work is so great. I am a hobbyist. I like to make a very simple version of this.
Can you please create small bullet list of your work already (hopefully shouldn't take more than an hour of your time), this here is a ideal but probably mulitple hours of your time example - http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/31788/Audio-Capture-with-DirectShow-Part?msg=5257122#xx5257122xx
This tutorial is excellent for beginners I was able to follow it and record audio from my webcam within couple hours.
I was just trying to record monitor, all monitors, or a window (with cursor). Very simple. But I couldn't follow. I was checking PushSourceDesktop.cpp but it doesnt show how to make it avi or mp4 etc.
hope that’s enough, cheers!

OK added a note to virtual audio anyway, cheers!

Yeah it's meant more as a tool you can *use* in your directshow app, not as a dshow tutorial hmm...the code you cited is from https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/matthew_van_eerde/2008/12/16/sample-wasapi-loopback-capture-record-what-you-hear/
perhaps I should mention that.
Cheers! -

This part is very confusing, it seems like its copy pasted - https://github.com/rdp/virtual-audio-capture-grabber-device/blob/master/source_code/acam/loopback-capture.cpp#L215-L236 - i understand you're trying to avoe "helololololo" but i dont see how it should be without this bug fix.

As I was reading through the loopback example - https://github.com/rdp/virtual-audio-capture-grabber-device/blob/master/source_code/acam/loopback-capture.cpp
Another complication for beginners was the thread part. Is it possible to show without thread please. Definitely this threading is for usability. But for simplest learning its throwing me off :(

PushSourceDesktop.cpp is also confusing for beginners because it doesn't show the use of it. It just creates it. I was looking for beginner guide, like the audio tutorial, it showed me how to connect a pin to another pin and get recording to file.
